We are an inter-generational advisory firm that embraces state-of-the-art industry practices. We build cost-effective portfolios rooted in academic theory and tested with our practical, real-world experience. Our team's backgrounds and expertise range from academia to institutional arenas in the areas of mutual funds, ETFs, private equity, real estate, private banking, corporate services, financial planning, and fixed income.
After years in academia our founder, Dr. Don Rugg, identified the inherent conflicts of interest of most brokers and advisors who received commissions for suggesting specific products to clients. As one of the first published authors writing about no-load mutual funds, his first book, "The Dow Jones Irwin Guide to Mutual Funds", informed the public about advisor compensation and the conflicts of interest involved.
Now in the second generation of ownership, our team still wholeheartedly espouses these values of integrity, transparency, and what it means to be a true fiduciary. We take this responsibility seriously, upholding our mission to always put our clients' interests first.
We are risk managers who look to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns over a full market cycle; in this respect, we seek to control risk exposure over maximizing absolute returns.
We want to hear from you. How we can help you achieve your financial goals?
